So I got Nate signed up for swim lessons and figured I'd do a mom-and-me class with Drew at the same time. It would have killed Drew to not get to swim if Nate did. So here we are on our way to our first class.
So you either get a turned head picture or...
...a pouty one. Take your pick.
I did manage to get a cute individual picture of each boy. Here is Drew and his ridiculous looking head of hair. Does it remind anyone else of Simon Cowell? And less anyone think I'm leaving it like this, we're waiting for July when I'll have money in the budget to get it cut, and no I will never cut his hair again, or at least not till he's older.
My sweet, sweet Nathan. His hair needs a cut too, but I can at least still make it cute if I'm willing to do it in the morning. ;) Nate is doing so good in his little class. He loves to put his face under water and he jumped into the pool yesterday all by himself and went under water. I was so proud of him!
Right before our class. I couldn't get Drew to sit still long enough to get in on it, but at least Nate co-operated. You can tell by his red flushed cheeks that we were more than ready to get into the water. I think that day it hadn't reached 100 yet, but yesteray it was 103 when we got there. It is hot, hot, HOT!

Father's Day Present Gone Awry
So for Father's Day my good friend Jami came up with an idea to make matching ties for the father's and son's. Loved it! So we got together to follow our fearless leader Mardi and make some ties. Okay, so in these following pictures you will see that I still need some work on adapting a pattern to fit the recipient. None-the-less, not bad for a sewing novice's first time making or following a pattern.
So Andrew's tie was a little too long, Nathan's was a little too short and fat and Eddie's was so short that I made him button his coat to hide it...In fact, if you look really close, I think you can see his white shirt but no hint of orange at the bottom of his jacket.
And here are some pictures of the not-so-photogenic Haws' family attempting to get a family shot:
Happy Father's day to the love of my life! Thank you for being such an amazing father!

Nee-nee
Dear C and Mamma-C,
Thanks for loving our boys so much. It lifts my heart to see such joy on their faces when you walk into a room or they see a picture of you or we tell them you're coming over. Pure love.
Love,
Me

Good news!
So I just got word back from our Peditrician that after three weeks, Andrew is finally cleared! His white blood cell count is back to normal and we're out of the worry zone. Mostly, I'm just grateful I don't have to go through the ordeal of pinning him down to get blood drawn. I don't think Drew is gonna wanna EVER go back to Dr. Jim's office. Poor Drew has gone through enough to last him the next year.

-ism
Nate: Can I cut your hair?
Me: Sure.
He then proceeds to grab a spoon, fork, knife and brush. Hilarious moments ensue.
Nate: There. You're beautiful. You look like Texas.

When I'm blogging...
and forget to shut my bedroom door, this is what happens...
I come out to the family room and see Drew with his trains and this smile...This is his "I got caught" smile and I knew something was up.
So I followed the paper wrappers to my bedroom and this is what I found...
I guess I should be grateful they enjoy playing together. (aka getting into everything and making ginormous messes.)
