Remember when I said adding the third child was an easier transition than adding the second to the mix? Well that statement totally doesn't apply when two out of the three are sick and you yourself are worn down. I didn't know having three could be so hard. The boys were running really high fevers (like into the 104's and I was scared to death of seisures)and Eddie wasn't home. I couldn't get their fevers to come down with tylenol and motrin and so I had to administer them much more frequently than I like. (Like every 2 and 4 hours instead of the normal 4 and 6 hours.)
The next day we took the boys in to the doctor and after a round of tests narrowed it down to the croup virus. I'll tell you what, Andrew has cried more from pain from this experience than he did when he got ulcers in his mouth and throat. Everytime he would cough, breathe or swallow saliva he was crying and wanting to be held by whomever wasn't currently holding him. The doctor showed me a diagram of what his vocal chords are doing to him and I totally get why he's crying all the time, but man I'm tired! I hesitate saying anything for fear that it will change, but so far Maggie hasn't gotten it and I'm thanking a loving, merciful Father in Heaven for that blessing. She's teething right now and that is about all I can handle on that front. Although, this is her while teething...I'll think I'll keep her.
I think we might be on the "up and up" though because at 6:30 this morning when Andrew came in to our room, he told us he was hungry and wanted french toast. This child hasn't eaten or slept since Wednesday. Keep your fingers crossed!

I wish I was there to help! Hang in there, it can't last forever. And remember letting the house go and feeding your kids cereal meal after meal is totally acceptable in this circumstance.
Tracy!! I am so, so sorry if that came from Caleb. He has had fevers since Saturday, we went to the er on sunday after a febrile seizure (scariest thing of my life) and Joe and i have been stressed out. They think it is strep, but still--i hope we didn't give that to y'all. I'll be praying for you!!
Oh so sorry. Hope you guys start feeling better soon. Just let the cartoons roll if it helps.
Those are such sad pictures! Poor boys! Glad you were able to figure out what was going on and that Maggie is hanging in there-she is so cute!
so sorry to hear your little ones are sick. That is so hard. I hope they get feeling better soon. Your little Maggie is getting so big and is just adorable as ever! I can't wait to see you soon!!
